There is nothing like good times and great food to bring family together, especially during the holidays. We asked local food artisans to share some of their favorite holiday recipes with the Baton Rouge Moms community and over the next three weeks we will be sharing these fabulous recipes with you all. You can check out our Holiday Food Guide for all recipes as well as helpful cooking tips and hacks. We’ve got you covered in the kitchen! 😉 Today’s recipe is Cranberry, Brie and Prosciutto Crostini from Delightful Palate. A delicious, yet impressive and simple holiday appetizer that anyone would be proud to offer up at their next party or get together.
Delightful Palate’s line of vinaigrette’s are for people who love good food but lack time or talent. They put it in a bottle for you.
Cranberry, Brie and Prosciutto Crostini with Delightful Palate’s Wild Mayhaw Berry vinaigrette
You will need:
1 French baguette
¼ cup olive oil
1 package quality Prosciutto, or sliced ham
1 round of Brie cheese, goat cheese
1 recipe for Cranberry Mayahw sauce, recipe below
To assemble crostini:
Cut baguette into one-third inch slices, on a bias. Lightly coat with olive oil and bake for eight minutes until lightly toasted. Slice brie into thin strips and place on bread or spread with a tablespoon of goat cheese. Top with prosciutto and a generous teaspoon of Delightful Palate’s Cranberry Wild Mayhaw Berry sauce. Drizzle Delightful Palate’s Wild Mayhaw Berry vinaigrette over the assembled crostini. Embellish with chives or arugula. Serve immediately.
I have found most grocery stores have toasted baguettes you can purchase.
