On May 8th, 100 Baton Rouge moms joined moms across the country to take part in National Moms Nite Out, the ultimate celebration of motherhood. Moms spend a lot of time making Mother’s Day special for all the moms in their lives. That’s why National Mom’s Nite Out was created by Maria Bailey, Host of Mom Talk™ Radio. National Mom’s Nite Out gives moms a reason to take the night off and enjoy a fun evening out with fellow moms!
We started the evening off at Kendra Scott at Perkins Rowe for a Kendra Gives Back Party. It was also Teacher Appreciation week, what better way to start our night then to help raise funds for Louisiana Dream Teachers, a nonprofit organization that celebrates Louisiana’s finest educators and educational leaders.
We enjoyed shopping the beautiful Kendra Scott collection, a first for many of us, while sampling cupcakes from Endless Cakeabilities, lemonade and champagne, all for a great cause. Of course, we had to throw in some fun with “Moms’ Night Out” photos and props too…
“I’m a Mess. But I’m a Beautiful Mess. I’m His Masterpiece, and that’s Enough.”
True and powerful words that sum up the message of Moms’ Night Out.
“I’m A Mom, What’s Your SuperPower?”
You can view all of the event photos on Rachel Ezzo’s page here.
After a fun time at Kendra Scott, we walked through Perkins Rowe to Cinemark for our private screening of Moms’ Night Out, the movie. We could tell by the constant laughter and episodes of sniffs with tears that the movie resonated with everyone. Please be sure to read Jodi’s full review of the movie, especially if Moms’ Night Out does not seem like a movie you would enjoy. If you have seen the movie, please let us know what you thought of it in the comments below!
The ladies were given a swag bag as they entered the theater and door prizes were pulled and handed out just before the movie started… Door prizes included dinner for two at California Pizza Kitchen – Perkins Rowe, Baby Bump Maternity Gift Card, Woodhouse Day Spa – 80 minute Spa Treatment, Official Moms’ Night Out Movie Swag Bag, Two Moms’ Night Out Devotional & Mug Gift Baskets, 6 Chick-fil-A meals for mom, Jamberry Gift Certificate, Chameleon Girls Gift Certificate and a lovely gift bag of Hanley’s locally made salad dressing
Thanks to Alexander’s Highland Market for providing the moms with bags and a free coffee, Woodhouse Day Spa for providing each mom with a mini spa treatment, Jamberry Nail Wraps, Beauticontrol for the pamper treatments and Sylvia’s Sweet Boutique for the amazing butterfly cookies made for the moms.
Our National Mom’s Nite Out event sold out in 5 short days. We hope to host these events throughout the year to offer Baton Rouge area moms the opportunity to get out for an occasional evening of fun to connect with friends, both old and new. Moms, you deserve a night to yourself to relax, unwind and have a bit of fun every once in a while.
We want to thank our generous sponsors for making this event possible and for showing their commitment to our community and for supporting moms in Baton Rouge.
Photos from the event were taken by Rachel Ezzo Portaits.
Below are photo’s from one of the 3 winners of the Mommy and Me photo session giveaways, they came out beautiful!
Rachel is currently offering a $100 discount on her session through June, don’t delay!
