I don’t know about you, but I am a big mess when it comes to organization. Most days, I don’t know what the date is, much less what I need to accomplish on that day. I wake up, get everyone ready for school and out the door and then I begin trying to check things off the to-do list. Problem is, there really isn’t an actual list. The list is in my head. And this is the root of the problem: the list does not need to be in my head because I am very forgetful. It needs to be written down. I need to have a written plan. Left to my own devices, I will always find something more interesting to do that distracts me away from my purpose.
I birthed two children and I swear, a percentage of my memory left with each child. It just isn’t as sharp as it used to be and I’m definitely blaming them for this. Wink, wink
We’re busy, we’re moms and we’re being pulled in a hundred different directions. It’s no wonder we feel overwhelmed and disorganized. Add creativity to the mix and it’s an even bigger mess. If you’re the creative type, like me, you understand that being creative can compound the problem….big time. I have so many ideas that distract me away from tasks and prevent me from being productive. Finally, I’ve gotten to the point now where I accept I’m unorganized and see it as a problem that’s limiting my success. I understand that in order to be more successful, manifesting success through organization is where it needs to begin.
Manifesting Success Through Organization
In an effort to get more organized, yesterday the Universe definitely put something right in my face that directed my attention to this problem. When I saw it and watched the video describing it, I knew, pronto, that it needed to be a tool in my organizational toolbox.
This handy-dandy tool I’m so excited about is called The Daily Action Planner and I ordered it today. As described on the website, “The Daily Action Planner is an organizational and success tool to help people save time and be 10 Xs more productive. It has sold out three times since its launch in May of 2013. It is designed for a month-at-a-time so that you can quickly reference each month as needed. It’s perfect for the busy entrepreneur, on-the-go mom, managers, and other professionals who need a system to “remember it all” for prioritizing the day.”
To get a free printout of The Daily Action Planner, simply enter your email address on the Savor Your Success webpage here >>> Savor Your Success . Once downloaded, there will be a $2 off coupon included that can be used toward your purchase of a planner. I ordered the yellow one because it was so bright and cheery, a visual symbol and color for new, better organized days ahead.
For $19.95, I didn’t hesitate purchasing this. If you purchase one, too, let us know on the Baton Rouge Moms Facebook page. We would love to hear any tips you have to share and hear how you’re becoming more organized, as well!
